Your support for local, sustainable farming means the world to me. I am passionate about providing the best quality, fresh, organic produce for my community, so I am sad to post an unfortunate update.  Recently, my planned CSA manager had to step down.  I have tried to find and hire another qualified candidate for the CSA manager position, and so far, I have not been successful.  

With this current reality, I need to pivot.  We already have some crops planted, and some perennials, like asparagus, rhubarb, green garlic, and garlic chives are being harvested, or are ready to harvest.  Some other crops, like lettuce, swiss chard and some asian greens, are somewhat delayed. And, due to staffing shortage, some crops, like turnips and red beets, haven't been planted yet.  

A couple of things that I feel like I cannot commit to are:

1. being able to deliver the full array of products that would be expected in a weekly spring CSA share.  

2. providing an Iowa City pick up location.  

3. Add-ons such as Local Crumb bread and Farmer's Fresh Whole Organic A2A2 milk.  

My pivot plan is to:

1. delay the start of this plan until Tuesday, May 5.  

2. communicate in a weekly newsletter what produce that will be available that week, and 

3. have an open on-farm pick up window every Tuesday and Friday from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. 

This would operate similar to a farmer's market where you choose what you want and pay accordingly.  Payments can be by cash, check or Venmo.
